My family and I have been living in South Pasadena since 1986. Our three children attended public schools in South Pasadena. We moved to South Pasadena because of the quiet neighborhoods and the reputation of its schools. As a member of the School Board, I have worked diligently within a team framework, in making a number of important decisions: selecting a new superintendent; streamlining programs under the budget crisis; developing a strategic plan for the district; and initiating focused goals for the district staff.
There are many more tasks to be done. I am committed to ensuring that our students and teachers are provided with the means and tools necessary for superior accomplishments and personal growth. Let me assure you that I will work hard to build better and stronger academic programs, introduce more resources for student development, and maintain strong ties with community groups.
