I would like to thank the community for all of their valuable input during this recent school board election period. I would also like to recognize the other candidates who participated, for their commitment to our schools because, although our perspectives may be different, our concern for students is shared and genuine.
Several people gave much of their time, energy, and expertise to this campaign and without them, I would have never made it this far. Thank you Paul Abbey, Jeff Burke, Shireen Chang, Gary Coyne, Kristen Dube, Melinda Hsia, Jane Schirmeister, Ellen Torres, Blue Trimarchi, Bob Vanderwall, Betty Wang, Jojoe Zee for your tremendous support and encouragement. Special thanks to Diana McGrail for taking on the daunting task of campaign managing for me and doing it with such grace, and finally, to Margaret Lee for tackling finances and administrative functions.
I also appreciate the PTA and League of Women Voters for organizing the Candidates Forum on short notice. I always welcome and am grateful for community input as it is what makes our school district great.
